Semiconductor equipment manufacturers in North America ordered an average of $1.47 billion in June, up 4.3% from $1.41 billion in May and 10% from $1.33 billion in the same period last year, according to SEMI. For the delivery part, the average monthly delivery value in June was $1.34 billion, a decrease of 4.8% from $1.41 billion in May and an increase of 10.4% from $1.21 billion in the same period last year. Semiconductor equipment orders were strong in June, and sales are expected to grow by two digits this year, as expected, according to SEMI. Semiconductor continued to boom in the third quarter. Last week, TSMC (2330) said it would expect another record high in the third quarter. TSMC estimated revenue in the third quarter would increase by more than 10% from the second quarter's high.
